About Norma Raye Ward
I have in-depth experience in, and knowledge of, women's health issues including reproductive health, family planning, domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Progressive Transition(s) Inc., a domestic violence program located in Oakland, California.
I had the honor of being the recipient of the 2012 Jefferson Award for Public Service, and I am a Commissioner on the Alameda County Public Health Commission, District 5. I am a member of both the National Coalition of 100 Black Women - Oakland Bay Area Chapter, and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority - Berkeley Bay Area Chapter.
I have a passion for working with women and families to enable them to obtain an environment that promotes health, wholeness, and healing. I enjoy teaching the concept of wellness to my clients while being a catalyst for their growth and change.
